The new OptiMate 6 ampmaticTM is the world's most advanced and versatile charger, maintainer and tester.

A single unit, in a stylish, robust and weatherproof casing, easy to wall mount.

As soon as it is connected, the ampmaticTM microprocessor automatically diagnoses battery condition and sets the optimal charging current and program.

An improved version of the popular OptiMateTM multiphase desulfation program will also automatically give a life injection to many very discharged or dead batteries.

When the charge is complete, the eco-friendly energy-saving mode ensures very low power consumption, keeping the battery at an optimal charge, always ready and safe, month after month, extending its life up to 400%!

Operation
1. Initialization: OptiMate 6 checks that it is connected to a battery ( = minimum voltage 1.8V).

2. Programming: The ampmatic processor checks the battery condition to determine the suitable program launch point.

3. Desulphation and restoration: If necessary, 2 or 3 phases of high voltage and oscillatory pulses are applied to return abandoned, discharged batteries (removed from the vehicle) from a sulphation state to a rechargeable state.

4. Bulk charge: The ampmatic processor sets and continuously adjusts the constant current optimally for each individual battery, depending on its changing electrical characteristics.

5. Short-circuit cell control: After 10 minutes the ampmatic processor checks the electrical parameters for power leakage due to a short-circuited cell.

6. Absorption and equalization: for 10 minutes the current is delivered in pulses that oscillate the voltage between 13.7 and 14.3V favoring the equalization of the voltage of the cells.

7. Charge control: for 5 minutes the voltage is limited to 13.6V while the ampmatic processor controls the current drawn by the battery. If this check reveals a lower than optimal charge, the program returns to absorption for another 10 minutes.

8. Charge retention test: Once the optimal charge is reached, the first leakage check of the battery power (and connected system) begins. If the battery exceeds the first 30 minutes of testing, this is extended to 12 hours for a final result. If the voltage drops below 12.4V dei this period, the extended test is concluded. The test results can be read immediately on dei the easy-to-read LED panel. The 30-minute tests are repeated hourly until the OptiMate 6 is disconnected, so that the battery status indication is continuously updated.

9. Charge maintenance: During alternating periods of 30 minutes, at a fl uttuante limit of 13.6V, the battery is offered the necessary charging current to maintain it with any small connected load or with a power leak and so as to avoid natural discharge. OptiMate6 can remain connected to the battery for an indefinite time, the battery will remain in an optimal and safe state. In addition, it will naturally have an optimal charge.
