Nolangroup is an Italian company founded in 1972. In that year Lander Nocchi, entrepreneur in the field of motorcycle and car accessories, starts the production of injection-molded motorcycle helmets in polycarbonate, an innovative plastic material, developed by General Electric under the LEXAN™* brand.
This material, already used for the molding dei protective helmets of astronauts engaged in the "Apollo" missions, is still today the most valuable thermoplastic material in use in the production of helmets.
Thus was born the first helmet branded Nolan (acronym of the founder's name).
Today Nolangroup is the only company in the sector to produce all its helmets in Italy with a fully integrated production process, from the receipt of raw materials to the final assembly of the product.
It is the largest manufacturer of helmets in Europe with over 400,000 helmets produced per year and a team of 360 people engaged in a single pole extended over an area of 31,000 square meters. Nolangroup produces both polycarbonate helmets under the Nolan and Grex brands, and composite fiber helmets, under the X-lite brand. These are flanked by N-Com, an internal division dedicated to the development of communication systems.
